Opened in 2017, The Ned London originated in the former Midland Bank headquarters in the City of London, designed by Sir Edwin 'Ned' Lutyens in 1924. When Nick Jones, the founder of Soho House & Co, first saw the Grade I listed, disused building in 2012, he fell in love. When you come work with us, you’ll fall in love too.



The Ned expanded internationally in 2022 to include The Ned NoMad New York and The Ned Doha, with additional properties in the pipeline. Every property is slightly different depending on its location, but the ethos of The Ned remains the same; to create a space for like-minded professionals to meet, work and have a good time.

Ned’s Club Controller is crucial to the success of The Ned’s newest concept, coming to Washington, DC in 2024. The Controller will create a culture of investment and ownership while supporting our teams financials goals. You will play a key role in supporting the Ned's Club financial success and principles. What’s the role?Controller About The Ned:The Ned and Ned’s Club are a global collection of hotels, clubs, spas, and restaurants for like-minded individuals to meet, work and have a good time. Seven years after launching The Ned London in 2017, we are proud to be opening a Ned’s Club in the US capital, our fourth and newest location. The property:Ned’s Club Washington DC is a members’ club set over three floors of a neoclassical style building situated within President’s Park at 734 15th Street NW. The Riggs Building sits opposite the US Treasury and was constructed in 1930. The 12-storey building is located around the corner from the White House and sits above the Milken Center for Advancing the American Dream, formerly the historic Riggs Bank Corcoran branch. The Club has a Rooftop Terrace and Loft Restaurant with views overlooking the White House, US Treasury and Washington Monument, plus a Founder’s Dining Room, The Library, Drawing Room, Gallery and Conservatory. On level nine, there is a self-contained floor of private event spaces. Reporting into the Regional Director of Finance, and supporting the property on-site you will: <ul><li>Responsible for monthly and year-end financial closing in collaboration with the Regional Director of Financ</li><li>Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and resolutions in collaboration with the Regional Director of Finance</li><li>Manage the Finance department, including training and development</li><li>Champion accounting policies and procedures by partnering with department heads and influencing consistency</li><li>Collaborate with various departments and team members to assist in completing projects as directed by the Regional Director of Finance and/or General Manager</li><li>Prepare daily bank reconciliations</li><li>Review monthly inventories for accuracy and ensure proper inventory controls are maintained</li><li>Review and approve weekly payroll and ensure it is reconciled to the GL</li><li>Responsible for approving purchase orders and invoices</li><li>Responsible for filing all state and city tax</li><li>Assist Regional Director of Finance with monthly forecasting and the annual budget</li><li>Assist Regional Director of Finance with managing the cash flow</li><li>Review Purchase Orders for accuracy and ensure all departments adhere to their checkbooks</li><li>Partner with department heads to prepare monthly financial accruals and reclassifications</li><li>Ensure all vendors are fulfilling the insurance requirements set forth by Company policies</li><li>Record intercompany transactions between various locations and between the US and UK</li><li>Support all external and internal financial audits</li><li>Ensure integrity, accuracy and efficiency of the accounting systems and procedures</li><li>Work closely with the purchasing department to ensure all costs are properly accounted for in the proper period</li><li>Assist with the preparation of various ad-hoc analysis as needed by the business</li></ul> What Ned’s Club can give you: <ul><li>Salary of up to $100,000 per year</li><li>Medical, Dental, Vision, Company Paid Life, STD, LTD Insurance</li><li>Complimentary meals in our friendly team restaurant</li><li>Exciting learning and development programs to help progress your career</li><li>Exclusive rates with our hotels for stays and dining, exclusive rates for your family and friends for hotel stays</li><li>Paid time off- 2 weeks vacation, 10 days PTO, 11 Holidays</li><li>401k matching</li><li>Employee assistance program –advice and support</li><li>Reward and recognition initiatives</li></ul> What you can bring to the role:<ul><li>A minimum of 3+ years of employment in F&amp;B or related hospitality accounting management</li><li>Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred. Will consider a combination of education and relevant experience</li><li>Knowledge of bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, preparation of journal entries, and closing the month required</li><li>Proficient in using accounting software and MS Excel</li><li>Proven success of “champion of the culture,” facilitating excellent communication and engagement. Positive attitude and ability to work cohesively as part of a team</li><li>Team focused and flexible to accommodate business demands</li><li>Effective verbal and written communication skills. Located in the former Ministry of Interior building, The Ned Doha offers seven restaurants, 90 bedrooms, event venues, and Ned’s Club, a private members’ club that gives access to spaces including a rooftop terrace, a health club with spa, gym and 30m outdoor pool. Job Purpose:We are seeking for an Events Executive specialize in selling, planning and organizing corporate events, conferences, and special occasions, ensuring every detail is meticulously planned to exceed client expectations.
