As Events (MICE) Sales Manager, you will be responsible for cultivating key industry relationships, enhancing brand visibility, through tailored market strategies. The Events (MICE) Sales Manager will focus on capturing new business for the Events Floor. This includes cultivating and maintaining key industry client relationships, enhancing brand visibility, formulating effective business strategies, and successfully managing all aspects of the sales cycle. The property:Ned’s Club Washington DC is a members’ club set over three floors of a neoclassical style building situated within President’s Park at 734 15th Street NW. The Riggs Building sits opposite the US Treasury and was constructed in 1930. The 12-story building is located around the corner from the White House and sits above the Milken Center for Advancing the American Dream, formerly the historic Riggs Bank Corcoran branch. Reporting into the Director of Events and as a key part of our Catering and Events team you will:<ul><li>Responsible for securing MICE business from North America Market from all segments</li><li>Develop and implement a MICE sales strategy aligned with Ned’s Club’s revenue targets</li><li>Identify new business opportunities, from both direct business and third-party agencies</li><li>Prospect and develop new agency and planner relationships</li><li>Focus on key market segments: incentive houses, meeting planning agencies, and corporate direct from the North America market</li><li>Prepare, implement, and compile data for the strategic sales plan, annual goals, sales budget, forecasts to monitor performance and future opportunities</li><li>Prepare a weekly sales update, a monthly performance report, complete Sales Mission/Tradeshow report to track ROI and share insights to track performance and shape future strategy</li><li>Monitor market trends and competitor activities to adapt sales strategies accordingly</li><li>Identify potential third party listings that could be advantageous for lead generation</li><li>Where necessary to proactive sales, collaborate with the implementation of digital campaigns, newsletters, and targeted content for national meeting planners</li><li>Professionally represent Ned’s Club at major industry events and hosted buy programs</li><li>Conduct regular client and agency meetings (virtual or in-person)</li><li>Organize monthly/quarterly/annual sales missions across key regions in the U.S. and Canada</li><li>Host training sessions, webinars, and FAM trips for target segments</li></ul> What you can bring to the role:<ul><li>An entrepreneurial mindset and out of the box thinking</li><li>Experience in sales or MICE role within a luxury hospitality environment</li><li>Proven track record of achieving sales targets and successfully managing high-end MICE business</li><li>Strong network within the North American market</li><li>Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship management skills</li><li>Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and client relationships simultaneously</li><li>Knowledge of international MICE markets, particularly within the luxury segment</li><li>Creative mindset with the ability to develop high-impact sales proposals and presentations</li><li>Ability to travel across the U.S. for regular sales missions and tradeshows</li></ul> What The Ned can give you:<ul><li>Salary of up to $110,000/ year + sales incentives</li><li>Medical, Dental, Vision, Company Paid Life, STD, LTD Insurance</li><li>Complimentary meals in our friendly team restaurant when the Club opens</li><li>Exciting learning and development programs to help progress your career</li><li>Exclusive rates with our hotels for stays and dining, exclusive rates for your family and friends for hotel stays</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>401k matching</li><li>Employee assistance program – advice and support</li><li>Reward and recognition initiatives</li></ul> At The Ned, we don't just celebrate our diversity, we challenge ourselves to do even better. The Role:This position has been designed to address the current need for dedicated ownership of F&amp;B creativity, activations, partnerships, and end-to-end campaign execution across all venues. The role would act as the central link between Food &amp; Beverage Operations, Marketing, PR, Digital, Revenue, and Finance to ensure all initiatives are strategically planned, commercially effective, and flawlessly executed.
