We’re looking for an Engineering Supervisor to support the leadership of the department that keeps everything working perfectly at The Ned. This isn’t always easy, as our building was designed as a bank, and it isn’t your traditional hotel. We’re responsible for making The Ned an unbeatable experience for our members, guests, customers, and team members and ensuring that attention to detail is second to none. What’s the role?Engineering Supervisor Who we are…The Ned and Ned’s Club are a global collection of hotels, clubs, spas, and restaurants for like-minded individuals to meet, work and have a good time. The Ned launched in 2017 in the heart of the City, in the former Midland Bank headquarters. The Ned City of London houses Ned’s Club - a private members’ space, gym and rooftop - alongside a public spa, ten restaurants and bars and 250 hotel bedrooms. As a junior member of the Engineering leadership team, you will:<ul><li>Help the business to achieve sales targets by regularly carrying out preventative maintenance to minimise breakdowns and disruptions</li><li>As a junior member of the leadership team, you will be a guardian of outstanding safety and standards, modelling behaviours, monitoring standards, and providing coaching and feedback where needed</li><li>You will lead the daily engineering operation, guiding the engineers on shift</li><li>Assist with prioritising tasks, ensuring the team and resources are distributed effectively</li><li>React promptly to emergencies and incidents, collaborating with the operation and other departments to always focus on minimising impact on guest experience</li></ul> What you can bring to the role: <ul><li>The engineering team provides 24/7, 365 cover to the hotel, so you will be expected to work some weekends and evenings too</li><li>There are 750+ team working in The Ned, and the engineering department supports and works alongside all of them, so a can-do attitude and great people skills helps us to maintain a great place to work</li><li>Previous engineering experience with a proven track record of delivering outstanding standards is essential, preferably within a similar environment</li><li>Previous experience of supervising or managing a team is beneficial, but experienced engineers looking to take their next step are also welcomed</li></ul> What The Ned can give you: <ul><li>Salary of up to £51,000 per year including service charge</li><li>Complimentary meals in our friendly team restaurant, Neddy’s including monthly payday breakfast</li><li>Exciting learning and development programmes to help progress your career</li><li>Exclusive rates at The Ned for staying and eating for you, your family and friends</li><li>Wellbeing and health benefits, including Reward Gateway and Stream, with access to gym, shopping, and cinema discounts</li><li>Your birthday off after a year of service and more holiday after five years</li><li>Paid volunteer day</li><li>Refer a friend scheme</li><li>Regular social events, including an annual pool party</li><li>Employee assistance programme – 24/7 advice and support</li><li>Reward and recognition initiatives</li></ul> At The Ned, we don't just celebrate our diversity, we challenge ourselves to do even better.
