Engineering is the department that keeps everything working perfectly at The Ned. This isn’t always easy, as our building was designed as a bank, and it isn’t your traditional hotel. We’re responsible for making The Ned an unbeatable experience for our members, guests, customers, and team members and ensuring that attention to detail is second to none. What’s the role?Shift Engineer About The Ned:The Ned and Ned’s Club are a global collection of hotels, clubs, spas, and restaurants for like-minded individuals to meet, work and have a good time. The Ned launched in 2017 in the heart of the City, in the former Midland Bank headquarters. The Ned City of London houses Ned’s Club - a private members’ space, gym and rooftop - alongside a public spa, ten restaurants and bars and 250 hotel bedrooms. As part of our Engineering department, you will: <ul><li>Provide general engineering support to the whole operation - including basic plumbing, electrical repair, and gas equipment</li><li>Help the business to achieve sales targets by regularly carrying out preventative maintenance to minimise breakdowns, and disruptions, keeping The Ned running smoothly and looking in top shape</li><li>There are 750&#43; team working in The Ned, and the engineering department supports and works alongside all of them, so a can-do attitude and great people skills helps us to maintain a great place to work</li><li>The engineering team provide coverage across the whole operation, so flexibility is working patterns will be required</li><li>Ideally you will have background knowledge with similar environment from your previous roles</li><li>Work a 4 on 4 off shift pattern</li></ul> What The Ned can give you: <ul><li>Salary of up to £41,000 per year including service charge</li><li>Complimentary meals in our friendly team restaurant, Neddy’s including monthly payday breakfast</li><li>Exciting learning and development programmes to help progress your career</li><li>Exclusive rates at The Ned for staying and eating for you, your family and friends</li><li>Wellbeing and health benefits, including Reward Gateway and Stream, with access to gym, shopping, and cinema discounts</li><li>Your birthday off after a year of service and more holiday after five years</li><li>Paid volunteer day</li><li>Refer a friend scheme</li><li>Regular social events, including an annual pool party</li><li>Employee assistance programme – 24/7 advice and support</li><li>Reward and recognition initiatives</li></ul> What you can bring to the role:<ul><li>Qualified electrician to at least city and guilds level 3 2365 ideally 18th edition</li><li>Basic plumbing</li><li>Basic carpentry</li><li>Good all-round trade knowledge and experience</li></ul> At The Ned, we don&#39;t just celebrate our diversity, we challenge ourselves to do even better.
