What’s the role?Membership Development Manager The Membership Development Manager supports the Head of Membership Development and wider development team in attracting vibrant and diverse members to the Club community by forming new relationships across many different DC communities.This job is onsite and requires the ability to work some evenings or weekends as needed to support acquisition activities at the Club and around the DC area. Who we are…The Ned and Ned’s Club are a global collection of hotels, clubs, spas, and restaurants for like-minded individuals to meet, work and have a good time.Seven years after launching The Ned London in 2017, we are proud to have opened a Ned’s Club in the US capital in 2025, our fourth and newest location. Ned’s Club Washington is our first Club only property, with access exclusive to our global members. The property…Ned’s Club Washington DC is a members’ club set over three floors of a neoclassical style building situated within President’s Park at 734 15th Street NW. The Riggs Building sits opposite the US Treasury and was constructed in 1930. The 12-store building is located around the corner from the White House and sits above the Milken Center for Advancing the American Dream, formerly the historic Riggs Bank Corcoran branch. The Club has a Rooftop Terrace and Loft Restaurant with views overlooking the White House, US Treasury and Washington Monument, plus a Founder’s Dining Room, The Library, Drawing Room, Gallery and Conservatory. On level nine, there is a self-contained floor of private event spaces. Reporting to the Head of Membership you will: <ul><li>Support the Development team in meeting annual membership acquisition goals.</li><li>Manage the acquisition pipeline by being potential members’ first point of contact. This includes educating them on membership process and benefits, scheduling and conducting tours, and providing feedback on potential members.</li><li>Leverage your relationship building skills and sales techniques to generate membership applicants through proactive outreach and networking and designing and running acquisition events and offsite activations.</li><li>Provide weekly data insights and forecasting to your team and key stakeholders, updating them on acquisition performance, upcoming activity and recommendations for future strategy.</li><li>Support Head of Membership Development in conducting market research to identify trends and opportunities in the luxury membership sector in the Washington, DC region.</li><li>Support administration of the Membership Committee and support collaboration with the Founders concierge team to generate prospective Founder members.</li><li>When needed, assist with the membership onboarding process, personally welcoming and familiarizing new members with Club facilities and culture.</li><li>Build and nurture partnerships and collaborations with local businesses, organizations and influencers to enhance member value and foster community connections.</li><li>Represent Ned’s Club at industry events, conferences and networking opportunities to promote membership growth.</li><li>Establish and maintain positive teamwork to foster a collaborative and supportive work environment, building a great place to work.</li><li>Must be able to travel for work, for farther destinations travel by plane may be required.</li></ul> What you can bring to the role: <ul><li>Bachelor’s degree preferred plus a minimum of 2 years of experience in membership/business development, community engagement or member organizations preferred.</li><li>Exceptional relationship building skills honed in the DC area, which help you generate new members and build member loyalty and retention at Ned’s Club.</li><li>Impeccable writing, communication and interpersonal skills with a strong customer service orientation.</li><li>Strong project management and organizational abilities.</li><li>Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM systems preferred.</li><li>Passion for building community and creating memorable experiences for members.</li><li>A results-driven, analytical mindset, always with your finger on the pulse of market trends and using data to evaluate performance, deliver reporting and inform strategy.</li><li>Proactive yet responsive approach, thriving in a fast-paced environment and able to juggle multiple priorities at once.</li><li>Excellent critical thinking skills and the ability to exercise good judgment and solve problems quickly and effectively.</li></ul> What can The Ned give you? <ul><li>Salary of up to $80,000/year</li><li>Medical, Dental, Vision, Company Paid Life, STD, LTD Insurance</li><li>Complimentary meals in our friendly team restaurant</li><li>Exciting learning and development programs to help progress your career</li><li>Exclusive rates with our hotels for stay and dining, exclusive rates for your family and friends for hotel stays.</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>401k matching</li><li>Employee assistance program – advice and support</li><li>Reward and recognition initiatives</li><li> </li></ul> At The Ned, we don't just celebrate our diversity, we challenge ourselves to do even better.
