Who We Are…Welcome to The Ned NoMad, a sophisticated members' club and hotel nestled in the heart of New York City. As the first international outpost of The Ned, we proudly opened our doors in Summer 2022, following the iconic debut of The Ned London in 2017. The Property…Set in the historic Johnston Building, formerly the NoMad Hotel, our property boasts a rich legacy dating back to 1903. With design expertise from the Soho House Design team, we've lovingly preserved the building's original charm while infusing it with a fresh, contemporary style. The Role…We are on the lookout for a dynamic Back Server to join our team and report directly to the Food &amp; Beverage Managers. In this role, you'll thrive in our fast-paced environment, juggling multiple tasks and projects with flair, efficiency, and independence. Your attention to detail and customer-focused approach will ensure that every guest experience at The Ned NoMad is not just memorable, but truly extraordinary. Main Duties… <ul><li>Manage bar section while ensuring Company standards and quality control is always upheld.</li><li>Ensure that the health and safety policy (I.e., IIPP, worker’s comp procedures, and allergy procedures) is always adhered to.</li><li>Provide guests with craft cocktails and food forward dishes while offering pairs of options and promoting up-sellable opportunities</li><li>Uphold Mystery Shopper guidelines and all Service Standards</li><li>Assistant management with recruiting, training and in the moment, problem solving during a busy service.</li><li>Maintain a positive attitude while being customer oriented and sales minded.</li><li>Work cross-functionally with all departments to create operational efficiency and ease of service. </li><li>Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and stocked work area.</li><li>Complete opening, turnover, and closing checklist daily. </li><li>Responsible for product rotation of all fruit, purees, milks, juices, syrups, infusions, bitters, and seasonal fruit.</li><li>Help maintain wine &amp; spirit inventory sheets by updating them on a necessary basis.</li><li>Communicate any changes to the wines by the glass to FOH staff.</li></ul> Requirements <ul><li>A minimum of 2+ years of experience in a fast paced and professional environment.</li><li>Previous experience as Bartender, lead Bartender or server/bartender in a high-volume craft cocktail forward establishment.</li><li>Proven success of “champion of the culture,” facilitating excellent communication and engagement. </li><li>Team focused with an understanding of the bigger picture and how you can contribute.</li><li>Able to effectively manage different stakeholders and be persuasive.</li></ul> Physical Requirements: <ul><li>Must be able to seize, grasp, turn and hold objects with hands.</li><li>Must be able to work on your feet for at least 8 hours.</li><li>Fast-paced movements are required to go from one part of the club to others.</li><li>Must be able to move, pull, carry, or lift at least 20 to 60 pounds.</li><li>Occasionally kneel, bend, crouch and climb as required.</li><li>Must be able to use step ladder</li></ul> Our Doors Are Yours To Open… The Ned is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace that seeks to recruit, develop and retain the most talented people from a variety of backgrounds, perspectives, and skills. Located in the former Ministry of Interior building, The Ned Doha offers seven restaurants, 90 bedrooms, event venues, and Ned’s Club, a private members’ club that gives access to spaces including a rooftop terrace, a health club with spa, gym and 30m outdoor pool. Job Purpose:We are seeking an enthusiastic and service-oriented Barista to join our luxury hotel team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about coffee, guest experience, and delivering exceptional service in an elegant hospitality environment.
