Located in the former Ministry of Interior building, The Ned Doha offers seven restaurants, 90 bedrooms, event venues, and Ned’s Club, a private members’ club that gives access to spaces including a rooftop terrace, a health club with spa, gym and 30m outdoor pool. Job PurposeWe are looking for a Bartender/Barista to work within The Ned Doha. If you have experience as a Bartender/Barista in a busy restaurant or hotel luxury environment, and you are enthusiastic, passionate and knowledgeable about fresh food and good service, then we want to hear from you! Responsibilities:<ul><li>Beverage Preparation: Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, espresso-based beverages, and cocktails according to established recipes and customer preferences.</li><li>Customer Service: Provide excellent service by interacting with guests, taking orders, and addressing any questions or concerns to ensure a positive experience.</li><li>Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain coffee machines, blenders, cocktail shakers, and other equipment, ensuring they are clean and functioning correctly.</li><li>Work Area Maintenance: Keep the bar and coffee stations clean and organized, following health and safety standards.</li><li>Cash Handling: Accurately process transactions, manage the cash register, and handle cash and credit card payments.</li><li>Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels, assist with ordering supplies, and ensure proper stock rotation.</li><li>Trend Awareness: Stay updated on current beverage trends and techniques to enhance drink offerings and improve customer satisfaction.</li></ul> Qualifications:<ul><li>Previous experience as a Barista, Bartender, or in a similar customer-facing role is preferred.</li><li>Proficient in preparing coffee drinks and cocktails, with a solid understanding of brewing methods and mixology techniques.</li><li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to providing excellent customer service.</li><li>Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.</li><li>Must be of legal drinking age and hold any required certifications or licenses.</li></ul> Work Experience and Knowledge:<ul><li>Demonstrated experience in a barista or bartender role, showcasing a strong background in beverage preparation and customer service.</li><li>Familiarity with various coffee brewing equipment, cocktail mixers, and bar tools.</li><li>Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to food and beverage service.</li><li>Experience in managing inventory and performing cash handling duties.</li></ul> Competencies:<ul><li>Customer Focus: Ability to anticipate and meet customer needs, providing a positive and memorable experience.</li><li>Adaptability: Flexibility to handle a variety of tasks and adapt to changes in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Teamwork: Works well within a team, supporting colleagues and contributing to a collaborative work atmosphere.</li><li>Attention to Detail: Precision in preparing beverages and maintaining cleanliness and organization.</li><li>Time Management: Efficiently manages time and multitasks to meet the demands of a busy service environment.</li></ul> What In It for you?<ul><li>One of the most iconic places to be and work</li><li>Amazing learning and development program</li><li>Discounted rates at The Ned Doha</li><li>Fantastic career growth opportunities</li></ul> At The Ned, we don&#39;t just celebrate our diversity, we challenge ourselves to do even better.
