The Ned and Ned’s Club are a global collection of hotels, clubs, spas, and restaurants for like-minded individuals to meet, work and have a good time.

Seven years after launching The Ned London in 2017, we are proud have opened a Ned’s Club in the US capital, our fourth and newest location.

The Property…

Ned’s Club Washington DC is a members’ club set over three floors of a neoclassical style building situated within President’s Park at 734 15th Street NW. The Riggs Building sits opposite the US Treasury and was constructed in 1930. The 12-story building is located around the corner from the White House and sits above the Milken Center for Advancing the American Dream, formerly the historic Riggs Bank Corcoran branch.

The Club has a Rooftop Terrace and Loft Restaurant with views overlooking the White House, US Treasury and Washington Monument, plus a Founder’s Dining Room, The Library, Drawing Room, Gallery and Conservatory. On level nine, there is a self-contained floor of private event spaces. Reporting into the Events Operations leadership team and as the friendly face of the guest experience you will:

• Provide outstanding hospitality to our guests, tailoring your service to deliver the exceptional experiences that The Ned is known for
• Provide warm, engaging service at guest-facing bars, offering thoughtful beverage recommendations
• Using your unrivalled knowledge of beverages, spirits and wine, you’ll answer all guests queries and assist during their event
• Set up and tear down each event from start to finish, taking care of our one of a kind space
• Keep bars tidy, polished, organized, and ready for service, recognizing that our bars are in full view of guests
• Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and readiness of bar storage areas and equipment, ensuring products are stored properly and meet club standards.
• Deliver the level of service and standards that our event guests anticipate and expect
• Our events spaces often need flipping quickly between events, so you may need to assist the team with preparing linen, glassware, silver etc for upcoming events
• Maintain a safe and clean environment, protecting our guests, your teammates, and our agency helpers from any possible harm
• Prepare and serve consistently excellent beverages from our menus, following club recipes and presentation standards
• Prepare service-bar orders promptly and accurately, supporting servers and runners in delivering a seamless experience
• Protect beverage quality and presentation, ensuring every drink meets Ned’s Club standards
• Maintain a safe and sanitary bar environment for members, guests, and fellow team members
• Coordinate with barbacks and the wider team to communicate stock and operational needs
• Complete daily bar preparation and event-specific prep, including stocking, bar setup, and breakdown as required
• Assist in training new bartenders by demonstrating beverage service standards, setup and breakdown procedures, inventory handling, and established Events processes.

• You’ll have a fantastic personality, engaging with our events guests to give them an exceptional service
• Present a warm, engaging personality and a commitment to exceptional hospitality
• A big part of this job is supporting teams, so a welcoming personality and ability to guide others is essential
• Strong all-round beverage knowledge, ideally including cocktails and wine
• Knowledge of mixology for both classic and creative cocktails.
• Able to work quickly and efficiently to service groups of people during events
• We love people to continuously improve, so if you have the desire to learn and progress then you can take part in loads of learning here at The Ned as part of our monthly learning calendar
• Creativity and enthusiasm for contributing ideas, including through our cocktail competitions
• Accountability for accurate inventory handling and payment processing
• The physical ability to stand or walk for extended periods and to lift, push, and pull a minimum of 35 pounds•
• Open availability to meet the Events department’s operational needs, including daytime, evening, late-night, weekend, and holiday shifts, as well as high-volume periods.
