Ned's Club Washington

Our reception team are positioned in the heart of our stunning ground floor lobby and are the focal point for guests arriving to the club. Surrounded by our ever-changing art collection and decorative Byzantine style and innovative concrete mosaics, it’s a great place to work and welcome our guests. What’s the role?Club Reception Who we are…The Ned and Ned’s Club are a global collection of hotels, clubs, spas, and restaurants for like-minded individuals to meet, work and have a good time.Seven years after launching The Ned London in 2017, we are proud to be opening a Ned’s Club in the US capital, our fourth and newest location. The property…Ned’s Club Washington DC is a members’ club set over three floors of a neoclassical style building situated within President’s Park at 734 15th Street NW. The Riggs Building sits opposite the US Treasury and was constructed in 1930. The 12-storey building is located around the corner from the White House and sits above the Milken Center for Advancing the American Dream, formerly the historic Riggs Bank Corcoran branch. The Club has a Rooftop Terrace and Loft Restaurant with views overlooking the White House, US Treasury and Washington Monument, plus a Founder’s Dining Room, The Library, Drawing Room, Gallery and Conservatory. On level nine, there is a self-contained floor of private event spaces. Reporting into the Club Reception Manager, and as part of the daily reception operation, you will:<ul><li>Lead the day-to-day arrival and departure experience, offering a warm Ned’s welcome on arrival and a thoughtful farewell on departure, while ensuring every check-in is seamless, efficient, and effortlessly polished for our members and guests</li><li>Champion outstanding hospitality by resolving concerns with grace, answering questions confidently, and delivering consistently memorable experiences</li><li>Collaborate closely with Membership, including the Founders Concierge, as well as Security, and Food &amp; Beverage teams to ensure a seamless, personalized journey throughout the Club</li><li>Communicate VIP arrivals and pertinent member and guest information to relevant teams, anticipating needs before they arise</li><li>Build meaningful rapport with members and guests by learning their preferences and personalizing their experience over time</li><li>Enforce Club policies with confidence, discretion, and professionalism</li><li>Assist with coat check and the secure storage of members’ and guests’ belongings</li><li>Answer incoming calls promptly, providing accurate and helpful information</li><li>Respond to member queries via case log with exceptional attention to detail and timeliness</li><li>Support additional duties as assigned by the Club Reception Manager or Head of Membership</li><li>Activate and issue membership cards and preparing induction bags for new members</li><li>Manage the restaurant reservations when required</li><li>Monitor the Founder’s mobile phone in the absence of the Founder’s Concierge team</li><li>Create and handle Founder and VIP guest passes with discretion</li><li>Maintain accurate Lost &amp; Found and Bag Check trackers</li><li>Conduct regular walkthroughs of the Club spaces, including both lobbies, ensuring Ned’s standards are impeccably upheld - furniture thoughtfully arranged, The Architect neatly presented and well stocked, and all areas maintained in a polished, welcoming condition</li><li>Monitor the reception environment closely and promptly report any maintenance or housekeeping needs in Knowcross to ensure swift resolution.</li><li>Manage Attendium check-ins during private events</li><li>Attend daily line-ups when requested and reporting key information back to the team</li><li>Assist with additional shift coverage when needed due to call-outs or peak periods</li></ul> What you can bring to the role:<ul><li>A genuine passion for hospitality and guest service</li><li>A warm and upbeat personality</li><li>Previous hotel or reception experience with a proven track record of delivering outstanding guest experiences and strong people engagement</li><li>A commitment to excellence, our members and guests expect the best, so high standards are essential</li><li>An organized and detail-oriented approach, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment</li><li>A calm and steady presence under pressure, our reception area can be demanding, and you'll be the anchor the team relies on</li><li>Must be able to seize, grasp, turn and hold objects with hands</li><li>Able to stand during your extended periods of time</li><li>Fast-paced movements are occasionally required to go from one part of the club to others</li><li>Must be able to understand and communicate clearly with guests, members, and coworkers</li><li>Must be able to reach and handle the computer, keyboard, and desktop items</li><li>Occasionally kneel, bend, crouch and climb as required</li></ul> What The Ned can give you:<ul><li>Salary of $26.00/hour</li><li>Medical, Dental, Vision, Company Paid Life, STD, LTD Insurance</li><li>Complimentary meals in our friendly team restaurant when the Club opens</li><li>Exciting learning and development programs to help progress your career</li><li>Exclusive rates with our hotels for stays and dining, exclusive rates for your family and friends for hotel stays</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>401k matching</li><li>Employee assistance program - advice and support</li><li>Reward and recognition initiatives</li></ul> At The Ned, we don't just celebrate our diversity, we challenge ourselves to do even better.
