Located in the former Ministry of Interior building, The Ned Doha offers seven restaurants, 90 bedrooms, event venues, and Ned’s Club, a private members’ club that gives access to spaces including a rooftop terrace, a health club with spa, gym and 30m outdoor pool.
Job Purpose:
The Restaurant Manager will be responsible for overseeing all operations within the Italian restaurant, maintaining the highest standards of service, managing a highly skilled team, and creating an extraordinary dining experience for hotel guests. This role requires an individual who thrives in a luxury hospitality setting and has a passion for fine dining, leadership, and guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, train, and inspire a team of front-of-house staff to provide exceptional service in line with the hotel’s luxury standards.
- Manage the daily operations of the Italian restaurant, including staffing, reservations, inventory, and service flow.
- Ensure all guest interactions are handled with professionalism and care, resolving any concerns or complaints promptly and effectively.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure the highest quality of food and beverage offerings.
- Develop and maintain relationships with VIP guests, offering personalized service to ensure repeat visits.
- Maintain the restaurant’s ambiance, ensuring cleanliness, presentation, and atmosphere are always of the highest standard.
- Monitor financial performance, control costs, and meet budgetary goals while maximizing profitability.
- Enforce health, safety, and hygiene standards as per hotel policy and regulatory guidelines.
- Coordinate with hotel management to create special events, promotions, and seasonal menus that reflect the authenticity of Italian cuisine.
Qualifications & Competencies:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in restaurant management, preferably in a fine-dining or luxury hotel setting, with a strong focus on Italian cuisine.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a team in a high-end environment.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Experience in managing budgets, financials, and operational performance.
- A passion for delivering personalized and exceptional guest experiences.
- In-depth knowledge of Italian culinary traditions, food and beverage trends, and luxury hospitality standards.
- Ability to thrive under pressure while maintaining the highest level of service.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.us
