Located in the former Ministry of Interior building, The Ned Doha offers seven restaurants, 90 bedrooms, event venues, and Ned’s Club, a private members’ club that gives access to spaces including a rooftop terrace, a health club with spa, gym and 30m outdoor pool.


Job Purpose:

As the Director of VIP Relations, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and enhancing the experience of The Ned’s most high-profile audiences, including Ned’s Club members, government stakeholders, and hotel VIP guests. This role blends strategic relationship management with refined hospitality expertise, ensuring a consistent, elevated experience that reflects the values and standards of The Ned’s Club and The Ned Doha.


You will lead initiatives that strengthen engagement within the Ned’s Club, while also cultivating and managing high-level government relations and overseeing the personalized care of VIP hotel guests. Leveraging your background in luxury service environments, diplomacy, and stakeholder engagement, you will drive member retention and acquisition, deepen institutional partnerships, and act as a key liaison for VIP clientele.


Duties and Responsibilities:


VIP Guest & Member Relations

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for The Ned’s most high-profile audiences, including club members, government representatives, and VIP hotel guests.
  • Lead the delivery of personalized guest experiences across all touchpoints, ensuring discretion, attentiveness, and excellence in service.
  • Conduct tailored show rounds and consultations for prospective members and government stakeholders, articulating the club’s value proposition and offerings.
  • Maintain detailed guest and member profiles using Salesforce CRM or equivalent platforms to ensure continuity, personalization, and strategic follow-up.
  • Report on key engagement metrics including satisfaction scores, member retention, and VIP feedback.


Government & Institutional Relations

  • Proactively develop and maintain strong relationships with key government entities and diplomatic institutions.
  • Represent The Ned in official communications, high-level briefings, and strategic meetings to ensure alignment with local protocols and cultural expectations.
  • Coordinate visits, events, and experiences that cater to government and official guests, ensuring compliance and a polished representation of the brand.


Strategic Partnerships

  • Build and manage relationships with premium brands, embassies, cultural institutions, and key local stakeholders to enhance The Ned’s Club and the Ned visibility and reputation.
  • Design and execute joint activations, partnerships, and private events that provide value to members and VIP guests.
  • Act as a brand ambassador at luxury and government-focused forums, industry events, and high-profile gatherings.


Event & Experience Management

  • Work with internal events and operations teams to curate bespoke experiences for members and VIPs, ensuring alignment with The Ned’s brand and service standards.
  • Host and oversee high-touchpoint events, ensuring all aspects, from guest list to execution, meet expectations for exclusivity and quality.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with F&B and marketing to deliver seamless, high-impact events and activations.


Contract & Membership Oversight

  • Oversee all aspects of VIP and Ned’s Club membership agreements, from onboarding and renewals to upgrades and compliance.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of memberships and maintain meticulous documentation in line with company policy.
  • Guide new VIP members through a smooth and personalized onboarding process, including welcome communications, orientation, and access setup.


Strategic & Operational Collaboration

  • Work closely with marketing and sales teams to shape messaging, campaigns, and content that resonate with VIP audiences and government stakeholders.
  • Analyse trends across member and guest engagement, providing insights to support strategic decision-making and service enhancement.
  • Uphold The Ned’s brand standards and hospitality ethos in all interactions, ensuring consistency across departments and guest journeys.


Qualifications & Competencies:

  • 7+ years of experience in luxury hospitality, VIP client relations, government liaison, or private membership environments, with at least 3 years in a senior or director-level role.
  • Demonstrated success in managing high-profile relationships, including government entities, UHNW individuals, and premium brand partners.
  • Strong experience in strategic event planning and guest experience design, particularly within members-only clubs, luxury hotels, or diplomatic settings.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional collaboration and elevate brand reputation through thoughtful relationship building and high-impact activations.
  • In-depth understanding of contract management, compliance processes, and CRM platforms (Salesforce preferred) to support VIP member and guest lifecycles.
  • Outstanding interpersonal, diplomatic, and communication skills, with the presence and confidence to represent the brand at the highest levels.
  • Commercially astute, with a strong grasp of luxury positioning, cultural nuance, and client expectations in a regional and international context.
  • Technologically proficient in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite; comfortable with data-driven decision-making.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and host events as needed, aligned with the schedules of VIP guests and official stakeholders.
  • Fluency in English and Arabic is essential.
