About The Ned:
The Ned and Ned’s Club are a global collection of hotels, clubs, spas, and restaurants for like-minded individuals to meet, work and have a good time.
Seven years after launching The Ned London in 2017, we are proud to be opening a Ned’s Club in the US capital, our fourth and newest location.
The property:
Ned’s Club Washington DC is a members’ club set over three floors of a neoclassical style building situated within President’s Park at 734 15th Street NW.
The Riggs Building sits opposite the US Treasury and was constructed in 1930. The 12-storey building is located around the corner from the White House and sits above the Milken Center for Advancing the American Dream, formerly the historic Riggs Bank Corcoran branch.
The Club has a Rooftop Terrace and Loft Restaurant with views overlooking the White House, US Treasury and Washington Monument, plus a Founder’s Dining Room, The Library, Drawing Room, Gallery and Conservatory. On level nine, there is a self-contained floor of private event spaces.
Reporting into the Executive Director of Membership & Programming you will:
- Develop and implement comprehensive membership growth strategies to build and maintain a diverse membership over the next five years.
- Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities in the luxury membership sector. Turn research into strategies to build diverse membership base. Track progress against strategy and goals.
- In partnership with the Executive Director, help select and support the Membership Committee as a major lever for growth.
- Serve as team lead for all communications. Develop draft newsletter, social media and events content in partnership with the global communications team.
- Serve as team lead for luxury brand partnerships, working with the global partnerships team to build sponsorships and ensure the events team can effectively execute partnership strategies.
- Lead the membership development team, providing training and support to ensure high-quality service and engagement.
- Set revenue and retention performance metrics for the team and track progress against membership goals.
- Monitor membership trends, analyze data, and prepare reports for senior management on growth initiatives, member satisfaction, and retention efforts.
- Adjust strategies based on feedback and performance metrics to continuously improve membership offerings.
- Work with the executive director to create annual budget, develop forecasts and track progress each month.
- Create partnerships and collaborations with local businesses, organizations, and influencers to enhance member value and foster community connections.
- Represent Ned’s Club at industry events, conferences and networking opportunities to promote membership growth.
- Ensure that the members’ first touchpoint with Club reception is a positive experience. Work with the club reception manager to set goals and metrics for success.

What you can bring to the role:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent year’s of experience in a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in membership development, community engagement and communications preferred.
- The ideal candidate will have a strong network in Washington, DC and relationships with brands and potential partners.
- Proven track record of driving membership growth and enhancing member engagement.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a strong customer service orientation.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Ability to analyze data and market trends to inform strategic decisions.
- Passion for building community and creating memorable experiences for members.
- Excellent critical thinking skills and the ability to exercise good judgment and solve problems quickly and effectively.
- Energetic, flexible, collaborative, and proactive; a team leader who can positively and productively tackle strategic initiatives and immediate business needs, as well as connect with the local creative community.
