Seven years after launching The Ned London in 2017, we are proud to be opening a Ned’s Club in the US capital, our fourth and newest location.
The property:
Ned’s Club Washington DC is a members’ club set over three floors of a neoclassical style building situated within President’s Park at 734 15th Street NW. The Riggs Building sits opposite the US Treasury and was constructed in 1930. The 12-story building is located around the corner from the White House and sits above the Milken Center for Advancing the American Dream, formerly the historic Riggs Bank Corcoran branch.
Reporting into the Director of Catering Sales and Service and as a key part of our Catering and Events team you will:
- Lead the Events service team, ensuring they deliver on high level service standards, follow Event procedures outlined from our guests needs, direct event set-up specifications while driving success in all areas of performance
- Build a high performing team through accountable measures, routine trainings, regular feedback, open conversations, and effective engagement activities
- Collaborate with the Director of Catering Sales and Service to discuss, manage and assist with monthly cost and budgets
- Create and review guest feedback reports, implement action plans and foster a collective team effort to ensure our teams are able to learn from feedback and implement ideas to improve service
- Manage event operations from beginning to end to ensure guest satisfaction, to include setup, service, staffing, working with the culinary team to ensure food quality
- Maintain an excellent relationship and partnership with the client and guest throughout event experience
- Assist with pre and post client meetings to ensure we are anticipating clients needs and exceeding expectations
What you can bring to the role:
- Previous experience as a Banquet or Events Manager in a hotel or restaurant would be preferred
- A proven track record of building, developing, and leading F&B teams to deliver and exceed service expectations
- Our ideal candidate will have experience in a comparable environment and/or a great understanding of the market space we operate in
- The ability to balance the strategic and the operational, equally comfortable driving performance in our busy day-to-day, or switching into long range planner and strategic mindset
- Rapport building skills are essential for working in our events sales and service team; every guest is a loyal client or potential new client, so every interaction is crucial
