Seven years after launching The Ned London in 2017, we are proud to be opening a Ned’s Club in the US capital, our fourth and newest location.

The Property…

Ned’s Club Washington DC is a members’ club set over three floors of a neoclassical style building situated within President’s Park at 734 15th Street NW.

The Riggs Building sits opposite the US Treasury and was constructed in 1930. The 12-storey building is located around the corner from the White House and sits above the Milken Center for Advancing the American Dream, formerly the historic Riggs Bank Corcoran branch.

The Club has a Rooftop Terrace and Loft Restaurant with views overlooking the White House, US Treasury and Washington Monument, plus a Founder’s Dining Room, The Library, Drawing Room, Gallery and Conservatory. On level nine, there is a self-contained floor of private event spaces.

As part of the Purchasing team, and a key part of the Purchasing team, you will be:

• Guiding and supervising the purchasing and stewarding team
• Assist the Head of Purchasing to resolve supplier-related issues, including disputes, quality concerns, delivery delays, and payment discrepancies.
• Collaborate with departments on their procurement needs and requests
• Receiving all deliveries correctly and storing/distributing goods appropriately
• Assist the stewarding team when needed
• Help the Head of Purchasing with department training
• Participate in monthly inventories

What you can bring to the role:

• A friendly and positive approach towards our team and your work
• Ability to read and understand information in English
• Able to supervisor with a positive and encouraging attitude
• Ability to use a pallet jacket
• Excellent organizational skills
• Must be able to exert physical effort in transporting a minimum of 35 pounds, sustain various physical movements throughout the club; reach up and down, pull and push, remain standing stationary for long periods of time throughout your shift.
