About The Ned:
The Ned and Ned’s Club are a global collection of hotels, clubs, spas, and restaurants for like-minded individuals to meet, work and have a good time.
The Ned launched in 2017 in the heart of the City, in the former Midland Bank headquarters. The Ned City of London houses Ned’s Club - a private members’ space, gym and rooftop - alongside a public spa, a whole floor of event spaces, ten restaurants and bars and 250 hotel bedrooms.
As an Event Manager you will:
- Build relationships to understand clients’ needs and tastes, then booking rooms, food and drinks, and anything else needed to make the event perfect
- Make recommendations to improve the event for the clients and maximise revenue for The Ned
- Provide regular hospitality and support to clients including site inspections, pre-conference briefings and being a welcoming face on any ad hoc visits
- Compile weekly function sheets and group resumes ensuring all Ned stakeholders have all the information they need to provide a seamless experience for every group and event
- Collect deposits, send final invoices, and collect payments
- Support the Sales leadership team by role modelling great performance and providing coaching and training to the team

What you can bring to the role:
- A strong background in event planning with evidenced results is essential, preferably from a similar business or environment
- Rapport building skills are essential for working in our sales teams; every guest is a loyal client or potential new client, so every interaction is crucial
- Events guests at The Ned expect their visits to go off without a hitch, so you’ll be an organised and meticulous planner with outstanding communication skills
- You’ll have a commercial mindset that you use to balance planning the guest’s perfect event with generating revenue for the business
