Job Purpose:
We are currently seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Engineering Coordinator to support our Engineering department in ensuring the upkeep and performance of the hotel’s facilities and systems.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the coordination of all engineering operations and maintenance activities for the hotel to ensure the smooth operation of facilities and equipment.
- Support the Head of Engineering in managing schedules for routine maintenance, repairs, and projects.
- Coordinate with internal departments and external contractors to ensure timely and cost-effective completion of all engineering-related tasks.
- Monitor and report on the performance of hotel systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other technical systems.
- Assist with procurement of engineering supplies, parts, and equipment while maintaining inventory levels.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance logs, service requests, and repair histories.
- Provide administrative support for engineering-related projects and liaise with contractors, vendors, and suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations within the hotel’s engineering operations.
- Respond promptly to any emergency situations, ensuring minimal disruption to guest services and comfort.
- Assist in the preparation of reports and budgets for engineering maintenance and upgrades.
Qualifications & Competencies:
- At least 2 years of experience in an engineering or facilities coordinator role, preferably in a luxury hotel environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of building systems such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Exceptional organizational skills with a focus on prioritizing and managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal departments and external contractors.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and sustainability practices in hospitality.
