Located in the former Ministry of Interior building, The Ned Doha offers seven restaurants, 90 bedrooms, event venues, and Ned’s Club, a private members’ club that gives access to spaces including a rooftop terrace, a health club with spa, gym and 30m outdoor pool.


Job Purpose:

To provide high-quality tailoring services for guest garments, staff uniforms, and hotel linen, ensuring all alterations, repairs, and fittings meet the brand’s luxury standards. The Tailor plays a vital role in maintaining the impeccable image and comfort of both guests and colleagues, contributing to the hotel's elegance and operational excellence.


Responsibilities:

  • Perform alterations, repairs, and fittings on guest clothing and staff uniforms with precision and care.
  • Maintain and manage uniform inventory, including stitching, labeling, and distribution.
  • Operate and maintain sewing machines, irons, and other tailoring equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Ensure all tailoring work meets the hotel’s high standards of quality, cleanliness, and presentation.
  • Collaborate with the housekeeping and laundry teams to maintain consistency in fabric care.
  • Keep tailoring area organized, clean, and well-stocked.
  • Assist in emergency repairs for uniforms or linen during peak operational hours.


Qualifications & Competencies:

  • Proven experience as a tailor, preferably in a hotel or luxury service environment.
  • Strong knowledge of fabrics, stitching techniques, and garment construction.
  • Ability to perform alterations quickly and with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Good communication and time management skills.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
