About The Ned:
The Ned launched in 2017 in the heart of the City, in the former Midland Bank headquarters. The Ned City of London houses Ned’s Club - a private members’ space, gym and rooftop - alongside a public spa, a full floor of events spaces, ten restaurants and bars and 250 hotel bedrooms.
As the Executive Assistant to our Group Managing Director, you will:
- Manage, prioritise, and coordinate the Group Managing Director’s diary across multiple time zones
- Full management of Group Managing Directors very busy inbox, overseeing and prioritising incoming communications, ensuring timely responses
- Organise regular travel arrangements for the Group Managing Director ensuring flights, itineraries, accommodation and transfers are prepared, as well as organising occasional travel for the wider business where required.
- Process expenses on behalf of the Group Managing Director
- Meeting preparation and taking minutes, ensuring action points are followed up on
- Co-ordinate inhouse VIP stays with the relevant guest relations teams
- Assist in the planning of internal events such as quarterly head of department meetings, staff parties, companywide townhalls and charity initiatives
- Weekly and monthly report preparation for ownership
- Act as the primary point of contact for The Ned’s internal and external stakeholders including ownership and key personnel from Soho House, as well as working very closely with The Ned London Executive Team.
- Manage Group Managing Directors industry wide responsibilities (committees, judging panels, speaking engagements, etc).
- As is expected, you’ll be an efficient and effective multitasker keeping on top of day-to-day admin, priorities and special projects
What you can bring to the role:
- You will have a previous experience as an Executive Assistant, preferably in the hospitality industry
- Flexibility on working hours, particularly when Group Managing Director is travelling
- You’ll spend a lot of time communicating with business leaders, stakeholders, and VIPs around the world so excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must
- You’ll be representing Gareth and the business on a large scale, so you’ll be a natural at building trust and credibility, standing firm when needed, and always leaving a positive impression
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with the utmost discretion
- An organised and detailed manner is non-negotiable, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and a busy operation at the same time across multiple different time zones
- Previous experience of using some of our platforms such as Opera, OpenTable, Fourth, Adaco, Knowcross and Salesforce would be a benefit
